Major General William J. Walker, U.S. Army (Ret.), is Chief Security Officer at Allied Universal, the world's leading security and facility services company, and a Senior Advisor with The Chertoff Group. In 2026, he was inducted into the Government Executive Hall of Fame for his distinguished career in federal law enforcement, military service, and public safety leadership.

Prior to Allied Universal, General Walker was unanimously elected as the 38th Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives for the 117th Congress. Before that, he served by Presidential appointment as the 23rd Commanding General of the District of Columbia National Guard — the Nation's only National Guard that reports to the President of the United States through the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army.

A retired U.S. Army officer, General Walker served in staff and leadership positions from platoon leader to Commanding General. He also retired from the Drug Enforcement Administration as a Special Agent and career member of the Senior Executive Service, conducting and directing transnational criminal investigations collaboratively with foreign law enforcement officials across Asia, the Caribbean, and South America.

He is an MIT Seminar XXI Fellow, a National Academy of Public Administration Fellow, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois, Chicago State University, the National Intelligence University, and American University, and completed programs at Harvard, George Washington University, and Syracuse University.
