Thomas Langer, CPP, is Principal of Atlantic Security Advisors, LLC, a consultancy specializing in industrial security, FOCI, risk mitigation, and leadership development. He previously served as Vice President of Security for BAE Systems, Inc. from 2002 until his retirement in 2019, overseeing the company's security programs across facilities in the U.S., United Kingdom, Sweden, and Israel, and ensuring compliance with the Special Security Agreement between BAE Systems, Inc. and the U.S. Government. During his tenure, BAE Systems sites received twenty-one James S. Cogswell Awards for Industrial Security Excellence and two national Counterintelligence Awards from DCSA.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Langer held a series of security leadership roles at Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company, spanning classification management, information security, facility security, and investigations. He began his career as a sworn officer of the Manchester Police Department.
Mr. Langer served as a member of the Board of Directors and President of ASIS International, as chairperson of the Aerospace Industries Association's Industrial Security Committee, and as a member of NISPPAC. He previously served on the Boards of Directors for American Rheinmetall Vehicles and American Rheinmetall Systems.
He holds a BS in Criminal Justice from St. Anselm College and the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from ASIS International.
