Mary Rose McCaffrey is a strategic security executive with deep experience across government and private industry. She currently serves as Principal of McCaffrey Consulting and President of the SIGNA Society, a CIA retiree association.
Ms. McCaffrey served as Vice President of Security at Northrop Grumman Corporation for seven years, enabling security programs across space, aeronautics, defense, and cyberspace, and building a world-class crisis management organization that earned the ISOS Resilience Award in 2019.
Prior to Northrop Grumman, she held a distinguished 30+ year career at the Central Intelligence Agency, culminating as its first female Director of Security. She held senior security positions across the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, the Department of the Navy, the National Reconnaissance Office, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. At the NRO, she unified counterintelligence and security into a single entity; at ODNI, she contributed to the creation of its original organizational structure in 2003.
Ms. McCaffrey serves on the Board of Advisors for the Council on Intelligence Issues, the Paws of Honor non-profit organization and has served on the OSAC Board and INSA Security Policy Reform Council. She holds a BA from St. Michael's College and has completed leadership programs at Kellogg, MIT, and Northwestern University.
